All active lifesavers must undergo a skills maintenance (proficiency check) to prove their competency in the lifesaving awards they possess and wish to keep current. Per SLSA policy, members who are not proficient by 31 December cannot patrol or compete in any SLSA competitions until they have achieved the necessary proficiency. Failure to attend skills maintenance will result in the expiration of your awards on 31 December 2024.

The skills maintenance dates for the 2024/25 Season have been confirmed, with four dates scheduled throughout the start of the season. If you have any questions or issues with re-newing your membership or any issues with the online theory and navigation, please contact the office. 

Each date listed will include the option to complete one or all of the following courses: First Aid, Bronze, IRB Crew, IRB Driver & ART.
